Give-Away: Wall Graphic (Uprinting.com)

As we've mentioned here and there, we moved into a new (to us) house a few months ago.  This is the first place where the Infant Bibliophile has had a room of his own.  I had high hopes of creating a fantastic, ultra-cool construction vehicle themed bedroom for him.  We even bought a little art projector and downloaded dump truck images, which I planned to sketch onto the wall for him.  But then a funny thing happened.  Our co-sleeping, absolutely-refused-to-fall-asleep-in-his-own-crib toddler wanted to sleep in his own room, on the very first night.  And the next, and the next.  The walls in there are light blue, with yellow bubbles scattered about.  He'd point to the walls and shout, "yaya!  bubba!" (translation: yellow bubbles!)(further translation: "why in the world would I want to sleep anywhere else, when there are yellow bubbles on these walls?!")  So, we didn't change a thing.  The art projector sits in the closet, the printed images somewhere in my quilting room, and my dreams of a perfectly coordinated little boy's room have met the fate of my goal to unpack all of our boxes speedily.  But, a few months have passed, and I haven't heard him mention the bubbles in awhile.  I think he's ready to move on.

When I was contacted by Uprinting.com recently about a new Wall Graphic product they're rolling out, I thought it was a perfect way to get started on decorating his room.   As Uprinting describes it, "Just imagine a huge sticker that you can peel and stick on any flat surface! (Similar to the Fat Heads stickers you’ve seen on TV) In addition, these use the same high-quality printing we use for our poster prints, so you can print photos, artwork or patterns in great detail."  How fun!  I'm thinking about printing a black and white or posterized version of a photo of him on a tractor or fire engine, but there are so many options to create a really unique, fun room for him.  Maybe I'll stick a few photos in a row.  Or create a black and white collage of family photos, since his relatives are scattered around the world, and I'm always trying to think of ways to keep all of the people who love him fresh in his mind.  And of course, there is always the option of a montage of photos of him reading or being read to, maybe stuck above his bookshelf.

Start thinking about how you might use this product too, because Uprinting is awarding two of our readers with a 24" x 24" Wall Graphic!  (Bonus: Uprinting is also hosting a Video Blog Challenge in October to find the most creative Wall Graphic Print, and the winner will receive a cash prize).

To win:
1. Comment on this post saying how you'd use this product if you won (required entry)
2. Subscribe to or follow Chronicle of an Infant Bibliophile (leave a separate comment)
3. Blog about this (leave a separate comment)
4. Tweet about this (leave a separate comment)

Four ways to win.  Deadline is September 14, 2009.  Note that this contest is open only to U.S. residents, and that there is a $5 handling fee that must be paid by the winner (shipping is free).  Good luck!

Disclosure: We are a member of Uprinting.com's Blog Sponsorship Program.  We will receive a Wall Graphic as a "Blogger Appreciation Prize" in exchange for hosting this give away.

This seems like a great product for decorating anything. I collect old, sepia photographs and some would be so cool to make into a large wall graphic, or like you mentioned, a wall collage- very creative!

PS I would use this as a Batman Signal if allowed, otherwise do some sort of scenic photo with both of the kids.

So many choices... I think I'd use a picture of my oldest daughter (9) reading to the little ones (3 & 10mos).

BTW- Love the blog!

I'd love to put a fun inspiring quote on the soon-to-be-playroom wall -- like "Create, Imagine, Dream" or something. But I really like the reading quotes, too -- perfect near the bookshelf! Thanks!
