To the moon.
And mars (which he said looks remarkably like Moab).
He and Daddy sorted space flashcards cards into "in the solar system" and "outside the solar system" piles (plus an extra for astronauts and machines).
We also downloaded a couple of fun iphone apps about space. I'm hoping to get a new batch of books on the space theme at the library this weekend. To see our first post about our outer space studies, click here.
And we spent a ridiculous amount of time on the computer playing games - the Bibliophile in a comfy chair with the laptop while I wear "Baby Girl" (this is what he insists I should call her) in an ergo carrier, bounce on my exercise ball next to him, assist with his games, and occasionally try to shove food in his mouth.

Completely unrelated comment: I love your blue rug.
@ChristyLove thanks! We went so long without any rug until I got around to deciding and buying one. It's hard to imagine what it was like without it. :)
I love your rug, too! We just bought a rug for our living room, and it's made a huge difference for us too!
And Mars does look remarkably like Moab =)
And speaking of strange-looking places in Utah, Have you been to Goblin Valley yet?
I like your planet collages - what a cool idea. I have those Target cards too and plan to introduce them next week. We have a lot of fun with space theme.
Cool moon photos!
Going to the grocery store and leaving with games sounds like something we would do. We don't have the Cat in the Hat one yet, but your description makes me want to check into it.
The photos were taken at a playspace at the planetarium. They look like we were just having fun with Photoshop :)
I think it's great that you're already learning about space and having fun too!
Marcia :)
I've done that where I went to buy one thing and ended up with a lot more.
That's a super cool planetarium you found. I've heard there's one near here, but I don't know.
