But, since I know some of you sew/quilt, I wanted to share that I got back to my sewing machine! Finally! To make a shower gift for a wonderful friend.
Ah, that felt good. It's just a simple quilt, but I forgot how satisfying sewing can be. (And also how exasperating).

Hope you all recover quickly. I took a short hiatus from blogging last month, too. Sometimes a break is needed, especially when you are dealing with a sick family. That's a beautiful quilt. Someday I'd like to try making one.
I agree sewing is so therapeutic and relaxing. I need to get back into my room......
Your quilt is lovely! I haven't sewn in ages, apart form serging flannel to make simple handkerchiefs for the kids - which I don't really count!
